Winner, Winner (well not quite) Chicken Dinner

This week we were delighted to receive a call informing us that we'd been named a finalist in the Specialist Business category of the Local Business Awards. To say that we were surprised would be an understatement. The nomination alone was a thrill, but to hear we had beaten out a great field of local businesses to make the short list of finalists was an absolute shock.
The awards night isn't for a few weeks and we remain realistic about our chances of winning (we won't), although the nomination alone does help validate all of the hard-work and sacrifice that comes with getting a business off the ground. Small business is a lifestyle; Late nights, early mornings, countless emails, calls and rejections. Despite all this there is a thrill to building something from scratch and seeing the fruits of your labour after a hard day's work.
Taking the leap from the security that comes with a steady pay cheque is definitely not for the faint hearted, but rewards are aplenty. Friends and family become your sounding board and it is their belief and trust that makes the hard days bearable and the great ones shareable.
So here's to all of you who have helped give this little aerial business its wings.... If planets align and we somehow get the win, it will because of, and for you all.
Thanks,
Josh
